Human Body- Tissues

The cells are the body's bulding blocks. These blocks form a model of a human, much like cells form tissues, and tissues form organs.

A tissue is a group o many cells of the same type that work together to perform a certain job. There are four types of tissues: skin tissue, muscle tissue, connective tissue, and nerve tissue.

Connective tissue

The connective tissue gives your body support. It includes the bones in your skeleton, the ligaments, and the blood.

Skin Tissue

Your skin is your body's largest organ. It is also made of muscle, nerve, and connective tissue. The skin is waterproof thanks to your middle layer (Dermis) that has oil glands.

Nerve Tissue

Neurons are nerve cells.

Muscle Tissue

There are three types of muscle tissue: Cardiac, Smooth, and Skeletal.
